Manny Ramirez had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at the ballpark where the spectacular
Jefferson Park Penguins beat the Tombstone Huckleberries 5 to 4.
Jefferson Park jumped on top of Tombstone in the top of the 3rd inning when
they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Ramirez
who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he doubled plating two
runs. Both teams ended up with 11 on the afternoon.
Aaron Cook(12-14) went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Cook
got help from Fabio Castro who earned his 4th save. John Maine(6-7) was the
loser.
